The Dvorak swich

I now fully use the simplified keyboard, a. k. a. "dvorak" layout - and I won't go back, it's simply a pleasure to use. It took me approximately one month and I now type "10-finger/no-cheating/no-looking-at-keys" style. Back on QWERTY, I tried to do the same, however happened to "cheat" because I was "used to it".
If you can read Danish, I suggest you visit DanskDvorak.dk ("DanishDvorak"), it has a lot of well explained general info about the layout, the history, good/bad side of switch, help how to switch, etc.

| 1 | 1983 2006 | Fabriksomraadet 82b, | 1440 KBH K | I was born and grew up in Christiania, a very special place in the capitol of Denmark, Copenhagen. From 1983 to 1989 I lived together with my parents Johan and Rosemarie (a.k.a. Rosi). Jakob was born in 1989 - finally I had a brother! My father moved in 1992. After a coupple of years he setteled down in what he latter named "The Yellow Submarine" - 5 minutes of walk from us. Late in year 2005 Christiania got new postal addresses. The 2nd of February 2006 my father passed away (R.I.P.). Yellow Submarine was now available and I was asked about taking over the house - believing it would be weird living where my father stopped breath I refused. Five months later I moved out of Christiania. |
